Movie Review #5

YES, once again, I am doing yet another movie review, because I am a movie junkie!!!

I just love it! Can't believe I have watched 5 movies already this year, and it's not even February yet! 0_0

Anyway, back to the review...

The story in a few words:  Based on a book by Michael Lewis, "The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game", "The Blind Side" depicts the inspiring true story of Michael Oher, a homeless African-American youngster who comes from a broken home and is taken in by the Touhys, a well-to-do white family.

The review in not so few words: I actually never really WANTED to watch this movie, but because other plans failed, we decided to watch a movie,and ended up watching "The Blind Side", which was the better choice for me (The other choice was New York, I Love You!).

Sandra Bullock stars as Leigh Anne Touhy, and I have to say, she definitely did a great job in her role; she was believable, funny, entertaining and she kept me enraptured throughout the whole movie! On the other hand, I'm not too sure whether she REALLY deserves the awards that she won ( "Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama" at the Golden Globes & the "Best Actress" award at the SAG). But I guess, she's been around for so long, so does deserve to get something doesn't she?

Ok, back to topic!!! I found the movie sweet, endearing, nice, and it was a feel good movie, because there were practically no BAD PARTS!!! Which Nini and I KEPT anticipating!!! We kept thinking the WORST was going to happen! We'd grab each others hands in fear of something terrible happening in the movie, but it never came! (thankfully....!!! because I have a weak heart...and I guess Nini too. haha)

This movie also stars: Tim McGraw - the father (famous as: american country singer/actor AND for being Faith Hill's HUBBY! (don't u find that word annoying??HUBBY!!) as well as newcomer Quinton Aaron as Michael Oher and Kathy Bates (famous as: the rich lady in the Titanic!!who always wore fur and was very nice, but Rose's mother didn't really like her???haha) as Michael Oher's tuition teacher!

Well...bottom line is, I enjoyed this movie and would give it...

8/10!!!
